CONCEPT
Tunic, also known as Alb, is a garment made, usually, in light fabrics, and can be smooth, with lace or embroidery on the sleeves and the hem. Collars can be of different models. Its origin is in the Roman Talaris tunic. Since the century X the edges of the sleeves and the bottom were ornamented with lace. So you can see the celebrant's cassock color (black, violet, red or white). Today, clerics can choose with or without lace. Tunics are worn under the chasuble, but can also be worn with the stole to celebrate sacraments and sacramentals.
